Warranties
Warranty (New Systems)
Media Geek, LLC warrants this product and its parts against defects in materials or workmanship for 90 Days parts and labor and one year labor from the original purchase date. During this period, Media Geek, LLC will repair or replace defective parts with new or reconditioned parts at Media Geek, LLC 's option, without charge to you.

Warranty (Used Systems)
Media Geek, LLC warrants this product and its parts against defects in materials or workmanship for 30 Days parts and labor from the original purchase date. During this period, Media Geek, LLC will repair or replace defective parts with new or reconditioned parts at Media Geek, LLC 's option, without charge to you.

Warranty (As Is)
Media Geek, LLC does not warrant any system sold "As Is" at the time of purchase. Systems falling under this category include but are not limited to computers built or assembled from spare parts at the Media Geek, LLC service center; computer systems that are consigned; computer systems that are sold under $200.00.

"As Is" computers (or systems)
These computer systems generally are used but are in working condition at the time of sale. These systems may have minor hardware or software glitches. If a buyer wishes to purchase one of these systems from Media Geek, LLC, they shall assume the total responsibility of hardware and software upkeep. The buyer is invited to inspect said equipment and a Media Geek, LLC representative will explain any known issues.

Media Geek, LLC makes no other warranty, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description, with respect to this computer other than as set forth below. by Media Geek, LLC makes no warranty or representation, either express or implied, with respect to any other manufacturer's product or documentation, its quality, performance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description.
Except as provided below, by Media Geek, LLC is not liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage that may result from use or inability to use the computer. Under no circumstances shall by Media Geek, LLC be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage exceeding the purchase price of the computer. The warranty and remedies set forth below are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No reseller, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this warranty.

Warranty Conditions
The above Limited Warranty is subject to the following conditions:
1. This warranty extends only to products distributed and/or sold by Media Geek, LLC. It is effective only if the products are purchased and operated in the USA. (Within the USA including US 48 States, Alaska and Hawaii.)
2. This warranty covers only normal use of the computer. Media Geek, LLC shall not be liable under this warranty if any damage or defect results from (i) misuse, abuse, neglect, improper shipping or installation; (ii) disasters such as fire, flood, lightning or improper electric current; or (iii) service or alteration by anyone other than an authorized Media Geek, LLC representative; (iv) damages incurred through irresponsible use, including those resulting from viruses or spyware, overclocking, or other non-recommended practices.
3. You must retain your original invoice or other proof of purchase to receive warranty service.
4. No warranty extension will be granted for any replacement part(s) furnished to the purchaser in fulfillment of this warranty.
5. Media Geek, LLC and its Authorized Service Center accepts no responsibility for any software programs, data or information stored on any media or any parts of any products returned for repair to Media Geek, LLC.
6. All pre-installed software programs are licensed to customers under non-Media Geek, LLC software vendor's term and conditions provided with the packages.
7. This warranty does not cover any third party software or virus related problems.
8. Media Geek, LLC makes no warranty either expressed or implied regarding third-party (non-Media Geek, LLC) software.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Media Geek, LLC does not offer technical support for any software including installed OS or other programs. Technical support should be pursued through channels offered by the software's individual tech support. Media Geek, LLC accepts no liability for problems caused by after-market software or hardware modifications or additions. Media Geek, LLC is not responsible for giving any technical support concerning the installation or integration of any software or component the customer did not pay Media Geek, LLC to install. Media Geek, LLC is not responsible for loss of data or time, even with hardware failure. Customers are responsible for backing up any data for their own protection. Media Geek, LLC is not responsible for any loss of work ("down time") caused by a product requiring service. This warranty is null and void if the defect or malfunction was due to damage resulting from operation not within manufacturer specifications. It will also be null and void if there are indications of misuse and/or abuse. Media Geek, LLC has the option of voiding the warranty if anyone other than a Media Geek, LLC technician attempts to service the product. Media Geek, LLC will not warrant any problems arising from an act of God (lighting, flooding, tornado, etc.), electrical spikes or surges, or problems arising out of hardware, software, or additional devices added to complement any system/component bought at Media Geek, LLC. Under no circumstances will Media Geek, LLC be responsible for any refund or remuneration exceeding the original purchase price of the product less any shipping fees. Media Geek, LLC will not be held responsible for typographical errors on sales receipts, repair tickets, or on our website. Media Geek, LLC makes every effort to make sure all information on our website is correct.


Policies


Information Collection and Use:
We only collect data from you to allow us to contact you about your computer, to bill you when the work has been completed and to allow us to perform diagnostics / repair of your computer. We do not sell or rent your personal information to any companies.

Links:
Any links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to Media Geek, LLC.

Abandoned machines:
All computers and other equipment will be kept in the facility for no more than 15 days after completion of work. After 20 days, the computer will be considered abandoned and will be used for parts, recycled, or sold unless previous arrangements have been made concerning a customer's specific machine. We will make every reasonable effort to contact the customer before disposing of the machine.

Software:
All operating systems and other software that come with new computer systems sold by Media Geek, LLC are Genuine and Licensed. Media Geek, LLC purchases software only from certified companies and trusted sources. We do not deal with, sell, buy, or in any way promote the use of pirated software. (In other words, if you want an illegal copy of Windows installed on your computer you will have to go somewhere else).

Lost data:
Media Geek, LLC takes every precaution to keep and/or save your data. However, we are not responsible in the event of lost or missing data.

Data security:
We protect the confidentially of the data on your machine. We do not look at your data, images, etc unless needed as part of the repair process. During data recovery, we are sometimes asked if specific files have been recovered and so during that recovery process we may review your data for the process of helping you understand the degree of data recovery possible. Our employees know that maintaining the confidentiality of customer data is an absolute requirement.

Turn Around Times:
We attempt to repair your computer as quickly as possible. We normally diagnose and repair computers in the order they are received. We will provide you our best estimate of the diagnostic and repair times needed for your computer. If we determine a part is needed for repair that is not in stock - we will provide you our best estimate of the delivery time for that component. However, on occasion, we do have delays. They can be caused by many different unknowns. We can not be responsible for these delays however we will strive to keep you informed if we are having any delays such as the above.
